TEXO recently recognized Vaughn at the Distinguished Building Awards for the Cook Children's Las Vegas Trail Neighborhood Health Center, the University of Texas at Dallas’s Dean’s Suite, and JPS Health Network’s Psychiatric Emergency Center projects.
“This recognition reflects the consistency, coordination, and commitment of our teams,” said a Vaughn project manager. “The award provides a meaningful way to close out a project and recognize the effort behind delivering facilities that truly matter to our clients and community.”
The Cook Children’s Las Vegas Trail Neighborhood Health Center is a 37,000 SF, community-focused facility offering pediatric and adult medical care alongside essential social services. Designed to address both healthcare and social needs, the center includes a food pantry, community education spaces, and workforce training programs for healthcare careers. The facility is expected to serve more than 20,000 children and families in the Fort Worth area for years to come.
The University of Texas at Dallas’s Dean’s Suite renovation includes new offices, conference rooms, and display areas for the dean and science department administration. The project required careful coordination to maintain uninterrupted academic operations. The successful delivery impressed UT Dallas and led to Vaughn being awarded an additional shell space buildout on the same floor.
The JPS Health Network Psychiatric Emergency Center (PEC) expands access to urgent behavioral healthcare for more than two million Tarrant County residents. Open 24/7, the facility serves both adults and adolescents with separate treatment areas, private rooms, and calming spaces designed to support safety and healing. The center helps reduce mental health crises and streamline care, providing compassionate, immediate support for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health emergencies.
