Houston Methodist Hospital, Centennial Tower Celebrates Topping Out

Over 1,300 representatives from Vaughn, Houston Methodist, Jacobs, Page, Walter P. Moore, AEI, and trade partners enjoyed a barbeque lunch to celebrate the topping out of the Houston Methodist Hospital, Centennial Tower Project.

“The Centennial Tower brings unique challenges such as navigating complex logistics, collaborating with diverse teams, and aligning efforts between design and trade partners,” said a Vaughn senior superintendent. “These challenges have strengthened our on-site experience and deepened our collaboration. Reaching the topping out milestone is a meaningful opportunity to recognize the incredible efforts of our design and project teams.”

The 1.3 million SF Centennial Tower, for which Vaughn serves as construction manager-at-risk, will help Houston Methodist meet the needs of a growing patient population in Houston and throughout Texas. The 26-story hospital tower will include an emergency department, operating rooms, four (4) levels of various imaging modalities, and patient bed floors.

The overall project is slated to reach substantial completion in 2027.
