JPS Health Network Breaks Ground on New Psychiatric Emergency Center

JPS Health Network (JPS) recently broke ground on the new Psychiatric Emergency Center, for which Vaughn Construction is serving as the construction manager-at-risk. As part of a larger initiative to modernize and expand the mental health resources available in Tarrant County, the new facility will replace the existing center located within Trinity Springs Pavilion and fill a critical need for quality psychiatric care in the area.

20221026-PEC-Groundbreaking-033_BMHospital leadership and staff gathered alongside representatives from Tarrant County, the City of Fort Worth, and the surrounding community to celebrate the groundbreaking milestone. Prominent members of the community looked on as hospital representatives donned their JPS hardhats and broke ground using shovels custom-made for the event.

Several key members of Vaughn’s Psychiatric Emergency Center project team attended the event to celebrate the start of this important project and of our new relationship with JPS. The Vaughn project manager explained, “This project is important to Vaughn in that JPS is a new client and this is another psychiatric facility to add to our resume. We have built one in Houston, and we are building one in San Antonio right now.”

But our team understands that the real significance of this project is much deeper. “Speaking with the folks at the JPS campus, they are extremely excited to be getting a new facility, as the current one is small and outdated,” the project manager continued. “The community and workers are looking forward to having this new facility and improving their campus as well as the patient experience.”

It is a great feeling to know that Vaughn will be able to help others in need. We are ‘Building What Matters!’”

The new Psychiatric Emergency Center will support accessible, quality care in Tarrant County, and Vaughn is proud to help heal the sick and improve our community through this project. We look forward to sharing more information as this project progresses.
