Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center Expansion Project Breaks Ground

More than 100 guests attended a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of the 15,000 SF Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center (WCCAC) Expansion. This nonprofit organization cares for child victims of domestic abuse or violent crime. The existing location had exceeded capacity necessitating additional space for crisis services. The facility is largely being funded by the county with an additional amount being raised through donations. At the groundbreaking, the WCCAC received a large donation from Toyota of Cedar Park. The new facility includes medical examination and counseling service areas, interview rooms, office space, a multipurpose meeting room, and an outdoor play area. The expansion coincides with the renovation of the existing facility to include new flooring, new furniture, and a therapy garden.

The design firm is BLGY Architecture. To learn more about the expansion and ways to give, go to https://wilcocac.org/expansion/. Visit WCCAC Expansion Tour - YouTube to take a virtual tour of the new facility.
