Vaughn has started construction on the Texas Department of Transportation's new $300 million headquarters in southeast Austin. The new headquarters for TxDOT will be a consolidation of the five campuses spread across Austin. The site will have five structures: a 425,000 SF office building, a 1,580-vehicle parking structure, a 74,000 SF lab building, a 145,000 SF warehouse, and a 9,200 SF central utility plant. Vaughn is working with Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. and Marmon Mok Architecture to bring the agency's workers together in the new TxDOT headquarters.
