Texas State Technical College Holds Ribbon-Cutting Event for New Transportation Technologies Center

Texas State Technical College’s (TSTC) Fort Bend campus held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the new 105,000 SF Transportation Technologies Center, for which Vaughn served as construction manager-at-risk.

“The vision of what we do is manifested in this new building,” said Mike Reeser, TSTC’s chancellor and chief executive officer. “We focus on the big, heavy-duty jobs that are at the core of Texas power.”

The new building houses automotive, collision management, and expanded diesel equipment programs. “The purpose is to accelerate us into the future by placing more Texans in higher paying jobs,” said Bryan Bowling, provost of TSTC’s Fort Bend County campus. “Many of us were here for the groundbreaking when it was nothing more than a dream. Now, we stand among that dream.”

“TSTC expects Fort Bend to be one of the fastest growing campuses with state-of-the-art training labs and equipment to provide the resources students need to progress in their academic careers,” said a Vaughn project manager. “We are proud to celebrate this milestone as we help drive TSTC’s vision for growth and excellence.”
