This project is a new, ground-up research facility on MD Anderson’s existing south campus. The 7 story, 600,000 SF building will be equipped with cutting-edge technology and advanced facilities to support groundbreaking research in the field of oncology. The building will include special infrastructure to support cryogenic microscopy, core lab space, flexible laboratory space , and support spaces. Vaughn’s scope includes building out four floors and completing site development work, including a pedestrian bridge and site landscaping enhancements. Public spaces will include a welcome center, cafe, conference, and TED talk / exhibit center. Collaboration is woven into all areas, with places for scheduled discussions and unplanned exchanges throughout the building.
