We built out five new community-based clinics and one hospital-based clinic for Harris Health System: Ben Taub General Hospital Same Day Care Center, Sunset Heights Clinic, Danny Jackson Health Center, Monroe Clinic, Long Branch Health Center, and Robindell Clinic. We constructed all six locations simultaneously. Each location included exam rooms, treatment rooms, nurse stations, administrative and support space, and reception space. Our team completed all six projects on time and under budget.
The five community clinics were located in strip center/retail locations across the city, a construction type Vaughn does not typically build. Our team adapted quickly, working with authorities having jurisdiction for each location to meet City of Houston code requirements and to meet the specialized needs of each facility type. We saved money during buy out by using the same trade contractor for all five off-site clinics which ultimately helped maintain the budget while accommodating each location's specific needs.
