Collin College recently broke ground on its new Farmersville campus and new $22 million, 52,000 SF academic building. The greenfield project includes substantial site work and installation of underground utilities, a 200-space parking lot, and landscaping. About 150 people attended the event, including college leaders and Collin County dignitaries. The new campus will provide higher education opportunities to the growing cities of eastern Collin County, offering academic transfer courses, programs in business management, logistics, transportation and information technology. The building will contain spaces for classrooms, light laboratories, and library to support over 1,250 students. The substantial completion for this project is slated for January 2021. The architect is The Beck Group.
