Sustainability

How does Vaughn protect the environment?

At Vaughn Construction, we are committed to delivering our services in such a way as to maximize sustainability during the construction process and in the resulting finished project. Our approach to sustainability is to examine the impact of how we are constructing buildings now, and to determine whether the materials and methods we are using are sustainable for the long term. To ensure sustainable initiatives are carried out, we employ careful attention to detail, comprehensive building strategies and collaborate with the architect to maximize our efforts. The end result is buildings that are more energy and water efficient, more durable, and are built with “healthier” materials. We try to implement this approach regardless of whether our clients decide to pursue a certification such as LEED.

As members of the USGBC, we are experienced at building LEED® certified projects. We have constructed numerous projects that have achieved all levels of LEED certification, including Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. We have LEED accredited professionals on staff who can help you facilitate this process, should you wish to pursue certification for your project.
